You are looking at an identified postcard that was sent to MISS EDITH HAYES. The actual postage date is unreadable but it has a copyright date of 1910.
The postcard is in a semi-ruff state, it looks like it was once glued into a scrapbook, the front is scratched and the lower right hand corner is bent. Even thought it has all of those issues, you can still read the front of the card and you can still see plainly who the card was address to.
On the back of the postcard it says "MISS EDITH HAYES, LIMERICK, MAINE.
The front of the card says "Oh! Father Christmas hear my prayer and grant it if you can, I've hung a pair of trousers there please fill them with a man".
Whoever sent this to Edith had a good sense of humor. Since EDITH was born in 1898 and she married in 1919, she most likely received this card sometime between 1915-1919, ages (17-21).
Please see scans for actual condition of card.
I've done some research on EDITH and this is what I've turned up:

FRANK E. TOWNSEND & FIDELIA had one child together, ALICE D. TOWNSEND, born 1907, ME.
FIDELIA was very unlucky when it came to marriages because she was widowed twice before the age of 41. According to the 1910 LIMERICK, YORK CO., ME. census records:

BENJAMIN I. HAYES - I had a hard time finding him but I finally did, he moved to MASS. and died in JUNE of 1964 and that is where his SSN was issued prior to 1951.
WWII Registration Card indicates that BENJAMIN I. HAYES was living at 39 St. Joseph St., Suffolk, Mass. he was 53, born in LIMERICK, MAINE, on Oct. 10, 1888 and he lists that the person who will always know his address as FLORENCE HAYES at same address so I'm assuming that FLORENCE is his wife.
