You are looking at a wedding invitation for the marriage of MARGARET AUGUSTA WAGNER to RICHARD MYRON KINNEY.
The invitation is in very good shape with no tears, possibly a little bit of corner wear but it looks like it was taken care of very nicely.
I have done some research on this couple but because of the date of the marriage (1942), it was very difficult for me to find very much but I did manage to figure out who they were.
The invitation is id'd as such "MR. & MRS. EUGENE P. WAGNER REQUEST THE HONOUR OF YOUR PRESENCE AT THE MARRIAGE OF THEIR DAUGHTER MARGARET AUGUSTA TO MR. RICHARD MYRON KINNEY ON SATURDAY AFTERNOON, THE ELEVENTH OF JULY NINETEEN HUNDRED AND FORTY-TWO AT THREE-THIRTY O'CLOCK GRACE REFORMED CHURCH, AKRON, OH."
NOTE: Based on ages, I believe that MARGARET was the step-daughter of EUGENE WAGNER.
I first find EUGENE P., MARTHA & MARGARET in the 1930 COOK CO., ILLINOIS Census Records.
EUGENE P. (34), born Germany, emigrated in 1912.
MARTHA (36), born Germany, emigrated 1921
MARGARET (16), born Germany, emigrated 1921.
If MARGARET was born in Germany in 1914, I'm kind of guessing that EUGENE P. was not the father since he was living in the U.S. in 1912 (more research needed, this is just my guess).
Based on 1930 Census Records, EUGENE P. WAGNER was born abt. 1896, GE., MARTHA was born abt. 1894, GE. and MARGARET was born March 13, 1914, GE.
According to the MICHIGAN NATURALIZATION RECORDS INDEX 1794-1995, there was a EUGENE PAUL WAGNER, born Feb. 19, 1896, NATURALIZED ON Jan. 4 (I think), 1917. Below is a copy of the Index:
U.S. Naturalization Records Indexes, 1794-1995

NOTE: I'm not absolutely positive this is him but all information leads me to believe that it is.
I did a little more digging and I'm pretty sure that I've been able to figure out who RICHARD MYRON KINNEY'S parents were (SEE CENSUS INFO. BELOW)
1910 AKRON, SUMMIT CO., OHIO CENSUS = BIRNEY, (33), OH., VIOLET (29), OH., ROLAND (9), OH., LOIS (2) OH. & RICHARD (8/12), OH.
NOTE: This census was taken in April of 1910, Richard was born August 18, 1909 (according to death records) so if he was 8 mo. old and you count back 8 mo. from April that would make his birth month August. I'm fairly confident I have the correct Richard who is listed on the WEDDING INVITATION.
1920 AKRON, SUMMIT CO., OH. = BURNEY (43), VIOLET (39), ROLAND (19), LOIS (11) & RICHARD (10).
BIRNEY SYLVESTER KINNEY was born June 8, 1876, OH.
VIOLET KINNEY was born January 31, 1880, OH.
ROLAND KINNEY was born Sept. 15, 1900, OH.
LOIS KINNEY was born March 8, 1908, OH.
RICHARD MYRON KINNEY was born Aug. 18, 1909, AKRON, OH. (groom).
BIRNEY died March 1, 1938, AKRON, OH.
VIOLET died January 9, 1967, AKRON, OH.
ROLAND (Richard's brother) died Dec. 31, 1970, AKRON, OH.
LOIS KINNEY HORVATH died Feb. 1, 1992, SUMMIT CO., OH.
BIRNEY & VIOLET KINNEY married in 1900, OH.
According to the FLORIDA DEATH INDEX, 1877-1998:
RICHARD MYRON KINNEY, born August 18, 1909, died May 10, 1985, NAPLES, COLLIER CO., FL., age 75.
S.S. DEATH INDEX:
MARGARET W. (WAGNER) KINNEY, born March 13, 1914, died July 4, 2008, NAPLES, COLLIER, FL., age 94.
It's not clear as to when RICHARD & MARGARET moved to Florida. The social security death index indicates that their S.S. cards were issued in OH. prior to 1951.
I was unable to figure out if they had children or even where they were buried.
NOTE: The envelope that was with the invitation was addressed to MR. & MRS. PAUL ROBERTS, I have no information on this couple.
