You are looking at a postcard that was sent to MR. ADIN TURNER from his cousin CLARA.

The postcard is in very nice shape with no flaws to speak of and it measures 4x6.

The POSTCARD is id'd on the back as such "Dear Cousin, Well I don't know whose turn it is to write but I will send this card hoping it finds you all well. Mama read Aunt Ella's letter and I will answer soon. With love to all CLARA" ADDRESSED TO: "Mr. Adin Turner, Jefferson, Maine.", postmarked August 5, 1910.

I have done some research on this family and this is what I've come up with.

ADIN SHARON TURNER** was born March 18, 1894 (Palermo, Me.) to WATSON GREELY TURNER (1866 ME.-1936 CA.) & ELLA FRANCES GREELEY (1863 CA.-1935 CA.), he died *November 26, 1977, Georgetown, Essex, Mass.

*Taken from S.S. Death Index & Massachusetts Death Index 1970-2003.

**Per WWI Draft Reg. Card

ADIN'S occupation was school teacher in MAINE & MASSACHUSETTS

ADIN'S siblings were: Dwight Lyman, born 1899 ME., Otto D., born 1896 and Wesley Frances.

1924 MASSACHUSETTS CITY DIRECTORY, MELROSE, I found MR. & MRS. ADIN S. TURNER, living at 65 ELM ST., MELROSE, MASS. (I'm pretty sure this is him).

MORE ABOUT THE SENDER "COUSIN CLARA"

"COUSIN CLARA" was actually CLARA H. RAMSDELL, born October 1, 1894, BLUE TENT, NEVADA CO., CA. CLARA was the daughter of WILLIAM WOOD RAMSDELL & CAROLINE ABBY "CARRIE" GREELEY (SISTER OF ADIN'S MOM ELLA GREELEY TURNER). CLARA died 1965, San Francisco, CA.

I'm not positive but I believe that CLARA/CLAIRE H. RAMSDELL married HAROLD H. LOEWENTHAL on September 4, 1960, San Francisco, CA. I got this information from the CALIFORNIA MARRIAGE INDEX, 1960-1985. I believe it to be her because "POSTCARD CLARA" died in SAN FRANCISCO in 1965 and the CLARA I found in the marriage index MARRIED in San Francisco just 5 years prior. Coincidence? Could be.
