You are looking at an identified calling card that belong to EMANUEL H. BALMER.
The card is in very nice shape and the color is still pretty vibrant (see scans).
I have done a little research on this name and this is what I've found:
EMANUEL H. BALMER was born JANUARY 18, 1861, PENN TWP., LANCASTER, PA. EMANUEL'S middle name is probably HORNER.
EMANUEL was the son of EMANUEL & MARY G. HORNER. EMANUEL, SR. is from PENN TWP. and MARY G. HOERNER was from West Donegal, PA.
EMANUEL SR. was born FEB. 13, 1820, PA. & he died OCT. 5, 1886, PENN TWP., PA.
MARY G. HORNER was born July 26, 1824, PA. & she died MARCH 20, 1904, LANCASTER, PA.
EMANUEL H. married MARY H. NAUMAN and they had 2 children, BERTHA M. who married PAUL KELLER and MINNIE who I think died at a young age (Before 1900 census).
In 1880 EMANUEL H. is 19 and still living with his family and in 1900, EMANUEL is married with one daughter BERTHA, born 1885. In 1910, EMANUEL & MARY are living alone, BERTHA is already married to PAUL KELLER, they have 0 children and they are living in MANHEIM, WARD 3, LANCASTER, PA.
EMANUEL H. BALMER had the following siblings:
MARY H., ANDREW, ELIZABETH H., JOHN & HETTIE H.
EMANUEL SR. & MARY G. HORNER married NOVEMBER 13, 1849 (taken from a transcribed newspaper online).
I believe that EMANUEL BALMER, SR. or his wife MARY G. HORNER were somehow related to ABRAHAM REIST, born abt. 1770, of PENN TWP., LANCASTER, PA. I tried to figure out the connection but wasn't able to. EMANUEL & wife MARY G. HORNER were living with ABRAHAM in the 1850 PENN, LAN., PA. census.
