You are looking at 2 identified photos from the same family. Both photos are in very nice shape with some corner wear and one is a little bit faded.
I have done some research on these 2 photos and this is what I've come up with.
PHOTO 1 = JOHN & EVA STROUT, measures about 4x6 and is identified on the back as such "JOHN & EVA STROUT". EVA & JOHN STROUT were brother & sister. EVA was born April 21, 1884, BRIDGTON, ME. to CHARLES ERVIN STROUT (1860-1932) and LOTTIE WOOD. JOHN WILLIAM STROUT was born March 2, 1888 or 89, BRIDGTON, ME. to the same parents and he died June 1966, BRIDGTON, ME..
EVA M. STROUT married GEORGE D. STARLING in 1905. GEORGE & EVA had the following children:
CHARLOTTE STARLING (see photo 2), born October 14, 1909, MA. and sister MILDRED born 1915, MA.
According to 1920 North Andover, Essex Co., Mass. Census Records, Eva's half brother, WALTER E. STROUT, was married to a woman by the name of MYRTIS (age 23) and he had a son WALTER (age 2). They are living with his sister EVA M. STARLING and her family. WALTER E. STROUT was born April 19, 1896, Hillsboro, NH. to CHARLES ERVIN STROUT & LAURA M. BETHAM born 1871, ENGLAND.
By 1930 WALTER STROUT & wife MYRTIS EVELYN STROUT are living in PEABODY, ESSEX, MASS. with children MYRTIS STROUT (10) & W. "WALTER" EDWIN STROUT (12). EVA, GEORGE & CHARLOTTE STARLING are still living in N. ANDOVER, ESEX, MASS. (Mildred is not living with them).
PHOTO 2 = CHARLOTTE STARLING, measures about 6x10 and is identified on the front as such "CHARLOTTE STARLING".
I found a 1939 US PASSANGER LIST with a CHARLOTTE I. STARLING, she was 29, born in N. ANDOVER, MASS. and living at 1553 BEACON ST., BROOKLINE, MASS. She was on the S.S. BREMEN sailing from SOUTHAMPTON, MASS on AUGUST 23rd, 1939 and arriving at PORT OF NEW YORK on August 28th, 1939. CHARLOTTE appears to have been quite the traveler because at second glance I found another passanger list dated May 4, 1936 with the following information:
New York Passenger Lists - 1820-1957 = 1936, May, 04 on board the QUEEN OF BERMUDA sailing from HAMILTON, BERMUDA on MAY 2nd 1936, and arriving at Port of NEW YORK on May 4th, 1936.
CHARLOTTE STARLING, AGE 26, BORN 1910, N. ANDOVER, MASS., home address = 14 Saunders St., N. Andover, Mass.
If desired, I will included (attached in an e-mail) copies of both passenger lists and a photo of the "QUEEN OF BERMUDA" and the "S.S. BREMEN".
I found CHARLOTTE in some ANDOVER and N. ANDOVER, MASS. Directories and I will list them below:
1935 BOSTON, MASS = Starling, Charlotte I., junior social wkr., 125 STATE HOUSE (h) 1999 Comlth Ave. Br.

1939 ANDOVER & N. ANDOVER, MASS. = Starling, Charlotte emp. State Welfare Dept. (B) r 14 Saunders and below that listing is STARLING, GEORGE D. (EVA) opr. Sutton's Mill, (h) 14 Saunders.
1939 "THE BOSTON FIVE CENTS SAVINGS BANK, 30 SCHOOL ST., BOSTON, MASS. (this is a directory).
Starling, Charlotte I., social wkr., Mass, DC h at Bline., under that is Starling, Geo., eng. r 151 Arlington and under that is Starling, Helen Mrs. r 31 Story SB
1940 BROOKLINE, MASS. = Starling, Charlotte I. r1553 BEACON.
I cannot find her in any additional directories.
As late as 1947 I found GEORGE D. STARLING & wife EVA in the ANDOVER AND N. ANDVOER, MASS Directory as such: STARLING, GEORGE D. (EVA), opr Sutton's Mill h 199 Middlesex (there is no sign of CHARLOTTE living there).
No sign of them after 1947. My guess on Charlotte is either she relocated or she passed away and I guess there's always a chance she married late in life.
