You are looking at an identified photo of Smith V. H. Mesick taken in Albany, NY. in May of 1892.
I have done some research on this individual and this is what I've come up with:
Smith Van Hoesen Mesick was born August 11, 1871 to Jacob J. Mesick & Dorcas Ann Roraback, in Rensselaer, NY. Smith died in 1945 and is buried in Mountain View Cemetery, Schodack, NY.
Jacob J. Mesick (Smith's father) was born June 21, 1830, NY. & he died January 14, 1886.
Dorcas Ann Roraback Mesick (Smith's mother) was born Sept. 7, 1830 and she died in 1909.
They are both buried in Mountain View Cemetery, Schodack, NY.
NOTE: Van Hoesen was the last name of Jacob J. Mesick's mother.
Smith V.H. Mesick married two times, the first time was to Katherine M. Whitman on January 1, 1896. Catherine was born March 1871, NY. and died in 1931, NY. I do not believe that this union produced any children.
Smith V.H. Mesick married for the second time sometime after 1931. His second wife's name was Helen Alice Winne, born May 22, 1876, Schodack Landing, NY. and she died June 27, 1950, Delmar, NY.
Helen Alice Winne was the daughter of Willis Alvin Winne, born Sept. 24, 1846, Rotterdam, NY. and died Oct. 3, 1912, Albany, NY. & Ida May Bell, born February 1852, NY. & died November 13, 1942, Delmar, NY. Ida is also buried in Albany Rural Cemetery, Menands, NY.
Willis & Ida (Smith's in laws) were married June 2, 1875.
Helen (Smith's 2nd wife) is buried in Albany rural Cemetery, Menands, NY. (taken from burial card).
Helen only had one sibling and her name was Ida May, born December 26, 1892, NY. and died January 15, 1975, Palm Beach, Florida.
Ida Winne married Noah Turner Clarke who was born October 6, 1889, NY. and died June 2, 1975, Palm Beach, Florida.
Noah was the son of John M. & Fannie V. Clarke. John was born April 15, 1857, Canadaguia, NY., his fathers name was Noah T. Clarke and is listed as dead on John's 1923 Passport Application.
Note: I was not able to find a passport application for Ida May Winne Clark, Noah's wife, even thought she traveled out of the country with him several times.
More on Smith Mesick & second wife Helen Alice Winne Mesick.
I was not able to figure out their marriage date, however, I believe the second marriage produced zero children also.
