You are looking at a postcard that was sent to VILAS SANDERS from MYRTLE on August 24, 1910.
The card is in nice shape (see scans for details).
The back of the card is as such:
"hello how are you? alright I guess. I am fine, I read your card O.K. excuse my delay. I guess you are having a nice time at school arn't you? They are talking about starting a protractor meeting at B.D. (could be B.L.) next Sunday. I will close your sincere friend MYRTLE.
I have done some research on these names and this is what I've come up with:
VILAS REED SANDERS was born July 22, 1893, EDMONTON, KY. to ALLEN BRADSHAW SANDERS (1868-1945) and JOERELLA HOUCHIN (1872-1936).
VILAS married NARVEL RITTER (1900-1985) on APRIL 8, 1917, EDMONSON, KY.
VILAS & NARVEL raised 2 daughters and 1 son.
VILAS died JANUARY 2, 1974, EDMONSON, KY.
NARVEL RITTER SANDERS died JANUARY 23, 1985, SMITHS GROVE, KY.
In 1910, when he received this postcard, VILAS was 16 and living with his parents, brother CARL (5) and sister DELLA E. (18)
